Day one has arrived for me and I have hit the ground running! I wanted to immediately touch base with the community as I'm sure many of you are curious and maybe even anxious about  how the school year is going to go. I want to assure you that I am going to do everything I can to make things run as smoothly as I can. While this situation is not ideal, we are going to get through it - together. Please exercise patience and stay calm as we try to navigate this "100 year storm" as I have coined it.  Please remember that we are at the mercy of the state with a lot of decisions we will be making. Not only is this situation a public health issue, we are also dealing with potential legal ramifications, political agendas, and the effective education of your children. That is quite a lot to handle and there is nobody that could have ever trained for how to handle something of this magnitude.

With state guidance changing at a rapid pace, I think it is important to wait until that guidance becomes more solid before we finalize our plans and share those plans with the school community. The administrative team will be meeting soon to prepare the groundwork for planning measures in the weeks to come. Again, keep calm and be patient as a lot will likely still change before we return to in-person school. I'll be in touch and will share information when the guidance is more complete and set in stone. In the meantime, I hope you are making the most of your summer and your children are fully prepared to make up for lost time in August!
