NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX INCREASE FOR

CASEY-WESTFIELD CUSD #4C

A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for Casey-Westfield CUSD #4C        

Clark County, Illinois for 2025 will be held on December 15, 2025 at 401 E Main Street, Casey, IL, 62420 at 7:00 pm.

The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended or abated for 2024 were $4,602,709   

The proposed corporate and special purposed property taxes to be levied for 2025 are $5,034,468. This represents a 9.38% increase over the previous year.

 The property taxes extended for debt services and public building commission leases for 2024 were $668,759.                                                                                                                   

The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service and public building commission leases for 2025 are $682,367.       

The total property taxes extended or abated for 2024 were $5,271,468       

The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2025 are $5,716,835. This represents an 8.45% increase over the previous year.

Notice is hereby given by the Board of Education of the School District C-4 in Counties of Clark, Coles, Crawford, Cumberland and Jasper, State of Illinois, that a tentative amended budget for said district for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2024 will be on file and conveniently available for public inspection at the Unit Office, 401 E. Main, Casey, IL in this school district from and after 8:00 am on the 20th day of May, 2025. Notice is further given that a public hearing on said budget will be at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd day of June, 2025 at 401 E. Main, Casey, IL.

Public Notice is hereby given that the Casey-Westfield Community Unit School District C-4 will dispose of the following records for students who graduated or permanently transferred by May 2019 in accordance with Records Disposal Certificate 03:249 as authorized by the Local Record Commission:  Student Temporary Records; Special Education Conference Findings Summary Reports; Special Education Progress Reports; and Special Education Student Temporary Records.  Students and/or their parents may request information that may be of continued assistance to the student by contacting Heather Lee, Guidance Counselor, at the Jr/Sr High School before May 30, 2025.

NOTICE

Public Notice is hereby given that Casey-Westfield CUSD #4C will hold a public meeting on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. at the Unit Office, 401 E Main Street, Casey, Illinois, to discuss district plans for providing special education services to students with disabilities who attend private schools and home schools within the district for the 2025-2026 school year.  If you are a parent of a home-schooled student who has been or may be identified with a disability and you reside in the district, you are urged to attend.

Public Notice is hereby given that Casey-Westfield CUSD #4C will hold a hold a Public Hearing Monday, April 21, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in the Unit Office, 401 E Main, Casey, Illinois.

The purpose of said hearing will be to receive public comment on a proposed waiver application of 105 ILCS 5/17-1.5 to allow the district to waive the limitation on administrative costs for school year 2024-2025.
