Dear Class of 2020,
You have been on our hearts and in our minds through this entire process and we are committed to honoring your achievement and contributions to Casey-Westfield Jr./Sr. High School through a graduation ceremony. We are very excited to share with you our plans to ensure that graduation, either as a large gathering or individualized, is held on June 13th.
If we are able to hold a large gathering in-person graduation, we will plan to follow the earlier plans that were sent out. If we are not able to have a large gathering in-person graduation on June 13th, we will have personalized, individual ceremonies on June 13th.
The personalized, individual ceremony will include a time assigned to each graduate between 9 am and 1 pm to walk across the stage, receive his/her diploma and have pictures taken. The district will videotape each graduate. Graduates will be allowed to bring five family members, and one of these family members will have the opportunity to present the diploma to the graduate. The other four family members will be allowed to stand on the floor to observe and take pictures.Time will be limited so that we may ensure completion by parade time. Graduation will culminate with a parade at 1pm led by fire trucks through downtown Casey. Each graduate and his/her family are limited to one vehicle. The district will provide each graduate with a download of the ceremony that includes all graduates.
Updates and details will be provided as the date nears on the District Facebook page, District website and emails. Thank you all for the understanding and continued support through these unprecedented times.
