The Casey-Westfield Lady Warriors Volleyball team concluded a remarkable 2025 season with a trip to the Regional championship game, finishing with a strong 21-15 record. The team's successful run was fueled by stellar individual performances and cohesive teamwork, leaving Coach Jessica Daugherty proud of her squad's efforts.
"We had a great season," Coach Daugherty stated. "They played really well as a team and individually."
Record-Breaking Performances Lead the Way
The Lady Warriors were led by several key players who achieved impressive career milestones and earned high honors in the Little Illini Conference (LIC).
Madilyn Gelb, a driving force on offense, achieved her 500th career kill. Her hitting prowess earned her a spot on the LIC 1st Team Offense.
The offense was orchestrated brilliantly by setter Haley Schackmann, who surpassed 1,000 career assists and was named the LIC 1st Team Setter.
On defense, Anna Karras hit a major milestone, reaching 500 career digs, which secured her an LIC Honorable Mention.
Rounding out the defensive standouts, Ava Goble was recognized for her consistent play by being named to the LIC 2nd Team Defense.
