Fall Rotary Athletic Heart Screening Program
The 2026 Fall Rotary Heart Screening program will be Saturday, November 7, 2026 starting at 8 a.m. in the Heart Center at Sarah Bush Lincoln. In an effort to make this valuable screening available to all high school athletes who are between 15-17 years of age (at the time of the screening), we are simplifying the distribution and collection process of the screening forms and we need your help!
The registration forms along with the parent letter are attached to this email. Please make a copy of the packet for each eligible high school athlete (must be between 15-17 years of age at time of the screening) in your school and ask your head coaches to encourage parents to mail forms back to SBL at:
SBL Heart Center
Attn: Lori Richardson
1000 Health Center Drive
Mattoon, IL 61938
OR email completed forms to lrichardson@sblhs.org
Please encourage parents to return the completed paperwork to SBL no later than Friday, October 23, 2026
We will need all three of the following completed forms in order to schedule athletes for screenings:
RAHS Registration Form
RAHS History Worksheet
RAHS Student Participation and Parental Approval
If you have questions, feel free to contact Lori Richardson, Clinic Supervisor – Heart Center, at 217-238-4550. For more information, please visit www.sarahbush.org and search for Rotary Heart Screen. We look forward to seeing your athletes on November 7, 2026 at The SBL Heart Center.

Your student has been part of something special here—a program designed to help them become the absolute best version of themselves. 💪 We've listened, we've dreamed, and our team has completely reimagined what it means to be Brave at Monroe!
Here's what's changing: instead of working toward a quarterly party, students are now earning Brave Bucks 💵 that they can spend at our brand-new Brave Store every single month! 🎁 This means more frequent rewards, more choices, and more reasons to celebrate good choices throughout the year.
The heart of the program stays the same—we're still encouraging students to maintain strong Class Dojo scores, keep their grades up, avoid suspensions, and stay out of trouble. 🎯 But now the payoff comes faster and feels even more rewarding!
Our team poured their hearts into this upgrade, and we truly believe your student is going to love what's coming!

Do you have a little time to give and a heart for supporting kids? Our Lunch Buddy Program is a fun way to make a positive difference in a student’s life! 💜💛
Lunch Buddies are paired with a student and meet twice a month for 40 minutes during lunch on a Tuesday or Thursday. Your time together might include games, conversation prompts, and simply getting to know one another.
We are currently looking for adults interested in mentoring and building positive relationships with our students. Space is limited, and participants will complete an application of interest and background check.
Please contact Bethany Littlejohn or Nicole Huffman for more information and next steps—we’d love to connect you with this meaningful opportunity!💜💛
