The CWHS Student Council proudly presented a $275 donation to Laura Wright, representing the Adopt-A-Warrior program. The funds were raised during the council’s April blood drive.
The Adopt-A-Warrior program assists CWHS students by helping cover extracurricular activity fees, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to participate in school activities regardless of financial need.
The CWHS Student Council thanks everyone who participated in the blood drive and contributed to this cause.

Mrs. Tutewiler's third grade class became scientists to find out what happens when you put candy corn in different liquids ... hot water, Sprite, and vinegar. First, they made predictions about what each liquid would do to the candy corn. Then they tested their predictions to see what would really happen. The candy corn dissolved the fastest in the hot water as they thought it would. The water turned orange yellow, and smelled sweet. In the Sprite, the student saw lots of fizz and bubbles. The candy corn dissolved more slowly and turned slightly mushy. Lastly, the vinegar made it bubble, and it had a funny, sweet and sour smell. Most students agreed that they do not like the smell of vinegar! It was a fun fall science experiment and the students enjoyed predicting, observing and discovering how different liquids changed the candy corn.

7th grade Social Studies students just completed their 50 States Recital. Sing along with them if you know the 50 Nifty States!

8th grade students received their 1,000 day letters on Thursday. In 5th grade, on their 1000th day of school, students wrote notes to their future selves. 1,000 calendar days later, the students get to read their notes along with a note from their 5th grade teacher. This yearly activity always brings lots of JOY and SMILES!

There's nothing better than a spooky story on Halloween! Mrs. Shawver’s 6th graders made a Halloween Roll-A-Story into actual well-illustrated books! They enjoyed the process and reading each book on Halloween 🎃👻📖

Mrs. Robinson's class had a spooktacular Halloween. 👻 The little goblins launched ghost rockets, stirred up bubbling witch's brew, shouted "BINGO!" and munched on Halloween Chex mix. Our classroom was filled with giggles and magical moments!

This week, Monroe hosted Family Reading Night! Miss Bishop presented a challenge to her class - if they had 10 students from their homeroom attend Family Reading Night, they would earn something special for Halloween! The class rose to the challenge and earned a spooky graveyard treat. Happy Halloween!! 🎃 👻 🖤
