Everything in orange! We are learning about the color orange and how it's made. Perfect for the month of October! 🎃 1st graders also drew their first still life observation drawing. I'm so proud of their work!

The Casey-Westfield Band will be having a ribeye and pork-burger drive-thru on Thursday, October 16th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the North side of the High School by the band room.

We want to sell "OODLES OF NOODLES" to fund our BRAVE account! This is the only fundraiser we do to help offset the cost of incentive trips, BRAVE parties, AR parties, field trips, etc. We're hoping these prizes encourage our students to get out there and sell some noodles!

🎃 Spooktacular rewards are coming to Monroe this October! Students can earn special Boo Bucks 👻 for showing their BRAVE spirit through great grades, positive behavior, and staying on top of assignments through October 31st!

The excitement builds up to our Halloween treat extravaganza 🍬, where students can cash in their hard-earned Boo Bucks at our special concession stand! 🎪

And wow, our amazing Monroe family has been absolutely BOO-tiful! 💝 Your generous donations for our concession stand have touched our hearts. Thanks for helping make our students' rewards even sweeter! 🌟

🦇💛 This week in Zone Room, we learned how bats can teach us about handling big feelings!

Just like bats use echolocation, our students are using calm-down tools to guide them through tough moments. 🌟

💛 Our bat craft shows how our coping strategies can help us “fly” through big feelings—and decorated our Halloween-themed door for Family Reading Night!

🍁Oakland Noddle Fundraiser🍁 begins TODAY! Order forms are going home this evening. Orders are due back on Wednesday, October 22. Noodles will be delivered to Monroe right before Thanksgiving Break. They will be the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving meal 🦃 Please take the weekend to get out and sell some noodles! This fundraiser is so important to Monroe as it completely funds our BRAVE program. The funds go towards:

*Incentive trips
*BRAVE reward parties
*End of the Year Celebration
*Class field trips
*Classroom supplies for special projects

Just to name a few.

Any and all noodle sales allow for Monroe to continue to make the school day not only educational, but FUN too!

Miss Gallagher's kindergarten class had a fun time learning all about apples today! They tasted different kinds of apples with a variety of toppings, made apple volcanoes, tried "apple pie in a cup", and created their own apple trees by stamping halved apples into paint!

This week the 3rd graders worked collaboratively to construct an edible cookie color wheel. Using the three primary colors of icing, they mixed together the remaining nine colors of the wheel. Of course, this quickly became a favorite lesson for all!
