The Casey-Westfield High School softball team has punched their ticket to the IHSA Class 1A State Finals Tournament, following a thrilling Super Sectional playoff victory over Waltonville yesterday!
The Lady Warriors displayed incredible skill, determination, and teamwork to secure their win, capping off a remarkable season that now sees them competing for the state championship. This monumental achievement is a testament to the dedication of the players, the strategic guidance of the coaching staff, and the unwavering support of the Casey-Westfield community.

We're organizing a street-lining event tomorrow at 8:30 AM, starting at Casey's and continuing as they make their way to the 4-way stop before heading west on Route 40. Bring your signs, your spirit, and your loudest cheers!

Scooter Scramble Grips High School Gym!
Mrs. Becky Lee’s Annual Cavalcade of Courage Delights Town
CASEY, Ill. – A veritable whirlwind of wheels and youthful exuberance descended upon the High School gymnasium yesterday afternoon, as Mrs. Becky Lee, beloved Industrial Arts instructor and local arbiter of competitive spirit, once again hosted her much-anticipated Annual Scooter Race. The event, now in its fifth thrilling year, drew a capacity crowd of parents, pupils, and curious townsfolk, all eager to witness the daring feats of two-wheeled athleticism.
"Larry the Lobster" Claims Novelty Crown!
However, the day’s most unexpected, and perhaps most colorful, victory came in the Novelty Division. Young Master Jackson High, a spirited lad with an inventive streak, triumphed atop his famously customized contraption, affectionately known as "Larry the Lobster." This unique vehicle, adorned with bright red paint and crab-like handles, was a sensation, drawing gasps of delight and laughter from the onlookers as Jackson pedaled "Larry" to a decisive win.
Staff Showdown Sees Mr. Strange Victorious!
And for the grand finale, much to the delight of the students, a special staff exhibition race was held! The cheers reached a deafening pitch as several brave teachers and administrators took to the course. Emerging victorious after a surprisingly swift and strategic performance was none other than newcomer, Mr. Cody Strange, who seemingly stole the victory from Assistant Principal Mr. Dalton McFarland and crowd favorite Señora Beth Reynolds.
