Picture day for Casey-Westfield Jr/Sr High School is this Friday. Monroe Elementary is September 30th.
7th graders participated in their first science lab of the school year. They followed the steps of the scientific method to explore mixing red cabbage juice with different common chemicals. They were looking for color changes to write down their results in their data table and answer questions.
High School and Junior High Cross Country teams competed at the Doc Acklin in Paris on Saturday. This is an annual meet that draws in hundreds of racers. Everyone did a great job! Harper Littlejohn received 3rd and Emmy Kusterman received 7th. The Junior High Girl's Team received 2nd place as a team. We are so proud of all of them!

High School and Junior High Cross Country have begun their seasons. Junior High ran the mile prep relay at EIU last week and at Teutopolis this week. High School ran the mile prep relay at EIU this week. Top 10 finishers were Amelia Washburn with 6th place at EIU and Harper Littlejohn with 7th place at Teutopolis. They are all off to a great start! Both teams will be competing in the Doc Acklin at Paris on Saturday morning.
