Mrs. Tharp's 4th hour Social Science class has been learning about Fossils. This week we were Paleontologists this week and dug for dinosaurs and fossils.

7th grade Social Studies students just completed their 50 States Recital. 8th grade students received their 1,000 day letters on Thursday. In 5th grade, on their 1000th day of school, students wrote notes to their future selves. 1,000 calendar days later, the students get to read their notes along with a note from their 5th grade teacher. This yearly activity always brings lots of JOY and SMILES!

Last Thursday Physics students in Mrs. Keeney's Class traveled to Robinson High School to compete in the 3rd Annual Engineering Competition. Casey-Westfield received 1st in the Surprise Build category and 3rd in the Overall Category out of 13 schools. We are really proud of all of their hard work!

Chemistry I students practiced their conversions today on real substances. They had to convert the number of atoms or moles in a substance to grams. Then they weighed out the substance into a cup and brought it to be checked along with their calculations. It was a good way to practice their calculations, measuring, and lab skills while moving around the classroom.

Get ready Warrior Nation, your Warriors are on the road for the 2nd round of the playoffs to take on the Nokomis Redskins. Game time is 3pm on Saturday, November 8th. Come out and show your support!
