The CWHS Choir sang some carols and spread some holiday cheer at Heartland Nursing and Rehab this week! The JH Choir also joined the HS Choir to sing at the Senior Center in town!! We hope you have a wonderful Holiday break!!

IHSA SCHEDULING CHANGES ANNOUNCEMENT

Several IHSA proposals were recently approved that will significantly impact the spring and summer schedules and start of seasons. We want to make sure families are aware as early as possible, so spring and summer plans can be adjusted accordingly.

IHSA Softball season change: practices may now begin on February 23, 2026, and contests on March 9, 2026. This will go into effect for the 2026 season.

Change to IHSA Dead Week: The IHSA has also moved Dead Week for All Sports to June 29 – July 5, 2026.
• This aligns with 4th of July week
• The week that was previously considered “dead week” in August will now be the start of football activities due to the earlier season start.

Expanded IHSA Playoffs: The IHSA has expanded the football playoffs by 16 schools in each class.
As a result:
• Week 1 of the regular season will be played one week earlier on August 21 of the 2026 season.
• Football practice will also begin one week earlier than in past years. This year, the official practices will begin on August 3.

All campers get in free for tonight's boys basketball game against Neoga! Performance will take place during halftime of the Jr. Varsity basketball game. Come out and support the Warriors...and our future Warrior Cheerleaders!

Band and Choir Concerts have been rescheduled for December 17th. The band concert will begin at 5pm in the gym with the choir to follow.
