On Thursday, October 9th High School Cross Country went to Lake Land College to compete in the Cumberland Invite. We brought home the hardware. Medaling for the boys were Eli Richardson at 45th with a time of 17:55, Rylie Large at 58th with a PR and time of 18:27, and Wade Winnett at 71st with a time of 19:04. A shout out to Brayden Clark for also receiving a PR. Medaling for the girls were Kayla Clark at 11th with a time of 20:37, Kaitlyn McKinney at 41st with a PR and time of 23:15, Amelia Washburn at 59th with a time of 24:54, and Olivia Henderson at 63rd with a PR and time of 25:22. We are proud of all of our runners!










Junior High Cross Country Sectional was held on Saturday, October 11th at Shelbyville. We had several runners receive PRs, which is super impressive with a notoriously difficult course. Shout-out to our PR runners Emmy Kusterman, Addy Cox, Nolan Wilson, Cyrus Large, Raylan Henderson, and Alex Murray . Our Junior High Season has come to an end . We are really proud of the time and effort everyone put in!

On Monday Junior High Cross Country competed in the LEIC at Robinson. They handed out ribbons for the top 10 places. Emmy Kusterman received 10th place for the girls. Callie Wolfe and Emmy Kusterman both received PRs. It was a new experience for several of the kids to run a race in the rain. They all did a great job and we are very proud of them!








The Casey-Westfield Band will be having a ribeye and pork-burger drive-thru on Thursday, October 16th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the North side of the High School by the band room.

Chemistry I performed a lab today of mini experiments determining if the end results were a chemical or physical change. As you can see from the pictures they were all having fun but did not want to look at the camera due to embarrassment from the goggles.









The Cross Country teams and High School Track would like the thank the Casey-Westfield Booster Club for their support in helping us to get a tent. When going to meets we have been one of the few and sometimes the only school without one. We really appreciate them helping us to achieve this goal! We have received many compliments and are very proud!



Junior High Cross Country raced at Robinson on Wednesday. It was for sure a hot one! Everyone did a great job but we want to give a shoutout to our PRs for the day Emmy Kusterman and Cyrus Large.







High School Cross Country went to Robinson on Thursday to race in a large meet against 26 other schools. We want to give several shout outs to our PRs and medalists. Our medalists were Kayla Clark for 15th place and Eli Richardson for 48th place. Our PRs for the day were Rylie Large, Wade Winnett, Brayden Clark, Alex Hancock, Kaitlyn McKinney, Amelia Washburn, and Olivia Henderson. Great job everyone!

For homecoming week the different fall sports have been going down to Monroe each day to be greeters. The elementary students really enjoy seeing the "big" kids. Today was High School Cross Country's day to go greet. The "big" kids had fun too!

High School Cross Country got up early the morning after the homecoming dance to participate in a meet at Lawrenceville. The boys and girls teams both received 3rd place! Everyone had a great race with Kayla Clark receiving 1st place, Amelia Washburn 16th, Kaitlyn McKinney 18th, Olivia Henderson 22nd, and Savannah Lyman 23rd. For the boys Eli Richardson received 5th place, Rylie Large 10th, Wade Winnett 14th, Brayden Clark 22nd, and Alex Hancock 27th. Kaleb Perie was unable to run due to injury but he came to cheer on his team and everyone appreciated it!

7th Grade Science Classes have been learning to use the microscopes. For the last several class days they have learned the parts, viewed threads, hair, and pond water.









On Saturday, September 20th High School Cross Country ran at Olney Central College. It was another warm one but everyone did a great job! Eli Richardson medaled at 24th with an 18:03. Wade Winnett medaled at 45th with an 18:38. For the girls Kayla Clark medaled in 8th place with a 20:21. We are proud of all of our runners.

On Monday Junior High Cross Country ran at the Olney Invitational. It was a hot one for sure! Garrick Boyd received a ribbon for 16th place with a time of 12:34 and Harper Littlejohn also received a ribbon for 24th place with a time of 14:58. We are proud of all of them!
