Dear Parents and Families: Get Ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way (YAY!). Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them to become Bolder, Prouder, and Stronger Readers. AND—as always—every book they buy earns rewards for our school. Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place from October 17th – 20th at Monroe Elementary School Room 85. It will also be open during Parent Teacher Conferences on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. This year, say goodbye to cash and hello to eWallet—your child’s digital payment account. Help Wanted Monroe Elementary School is seeking applicants for a cafeteria helper from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on student attendance days for the 2022-23 school year. Starting salary: $13.00 per hour. Candidates should pick up an application at Monroe or Unit Office. Deadline to apply: September 7, 2022.

Homerooms and Jr-Sr High Schedules are now available for viewing in TeacherEase Parent Portal. The information is under the Academics tab (schedule for Monroe and classes for the Jr-Sr High).

REMINDER - Online Registration for Casey-Westfield C4 students will close on Friday, August 5th . If you have not done so, please complete your Childs registration information in TeacherEase.

Online registration for returning Casey-Westfeild students is now open and will remain open through Friday, August 5, 2022. Please login to the Parent Portal to complete your students registration. For best results when registering from a mobile device, download the TeacherEase-Parent app from your devices app store. New students (that have not contacted their school) may register by completing the new student request. At this time, schedules for JH/SH and classroom teacher assignments for Monroe are not available. Kindergarten orientation will be August 17th. Additional information will be sent at a later date. Monroe Elementary has the following openings for the upcoming school year: Housekeeper - hours are 3:00pm -11:00pm M-F during the school year. Starting pay is $17.00/hr. Lunch/Recess Supervisor - hours are 11:00am - 1:00pm daily on student attendance days. Starting pay is $13.46/hr. Parents: Just a reminder that Casey Westfield schools are serving free breakfast and lunch to any CW student for the month of June, Monday through Friday at Monroe Elementary. Meals must be eaten in the cafeteria as there is no curbside pickup or delivery. Monroe's After School Care Program will be offered for the 2022-2023 school year! August's scheduling calendar, ASC handbook and registration forms can be found at the link below. Monroe Parents: Just a quick reminder that there will be no ASC and Homework Help on Wed. April 13, 2022 due to 2pm dismissal for the Easter Holiday. Please plan according on that day. Please let your child's teacher know what their dismissal plan should be in writing. Thank you for all that you do!

HELP WANTED: Part-time recess and cafeteria aide wanted. Monroe Elementary in Casey, IL has a two-hour aide position available. Duties include escorting and supervising K-6th students during lunch and recess from 11 am - 1 pm on student attendance days. Starting pay is $13.00/hour. Applicants must have a high school diploma, with preference given to applicants with additional education. Monroe Elementary School has 2 openings for K-6 Special Education Teacher for the 2022-23 school year. Applicants must hold a Illinois Professional Educator License with LBS1. Monroe Parents: Order deadline is quickly approaching!

Reminder: no school tomorrow due to a scheduled SIP day. Also, if COVID policies are changed, notification will be made promptly. Testing at Roosevelt is Tuesday-Friday 8-9am.

There will be no school on Friday, February 4th.

Monroe Elementary has an immediate opening for a classroom aide. Applicants must be fluent in Spanish, have a high school diploma and be available to work daily from 7:45 - 3:15 pm on school days when students are present. This position requires physical mobility and the ability to lift up to 40lbs. Duties include assisting student(s) with basic and educational needs as directed by teachers in both Spanish and English. The starting pay is $13.00/hour beginning February 1, 2022.
