We have very exciting news for our Monroe Music Department! In January, we will be starting a fifth and sixth grade choir! There will be a sign up sheet in the office or you can email or talk to Mrs. Schmidt directly if you are interested in participating! We will meet from 2:30-2:55 in the music room. Mrs. Keller's 4th grade class enjoyed a Donut & Milk party this morning for earning the First Quarter Attendance Incentive! Mrs. Keller's class understands that attendance is a priority to support brain power and promote learning. Thank you parents & guardians for assisting your student's educational experience by ensuring their regular attendance at school.

We want to sell "OODLES OF NOODLES" to fund our BRAVE account! This is the only fundraiser we do to help offset the cost of incentive trips, BRAVE parties, AR parties, field trips, 100 point club shirts, etc. We're hoping these prizes encourage our students to get out there and sell some noodles!

Mrs. Perie's 4th grade class participated in the virtual field trip, "There's a Pig in My Classroom." We toured a pig farm and learned lots of facts about pigs. It wasn't "boaring" in class today! We had "sow" much fun!

Did you know you can see your child's artwork as soon as it's completed? You can also purchase a variety of keepsake items printed with an image if your child's artwork. Artsonia is a program used to organize student artwork and provide families a chance to support the art program. We currently only have 27% of Monroe families connected. I would love to see that increase! There is no fee to sign up. Email me if you are having troubles.

Sixth graders had a great day in Springfield. We visited the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum, Lincoln's Home, and Lincoln's Tomb. They completed a scavenger hunt and were engaged in tours asking many thoughtful questions.
